BIO
I was born in East Hartford in 1976 after my parents moved there with my brother and sister. I attended Silver Lane School, East Hartford Middle School and graduated from East Hartford High School. I was the first in my family to go to college and I graduated from the University of Connecticut where I earned a Bachelors Degree in History. I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Policy at Trinity College in Hartford.
I am married to my high school sweetheart Sarah Gaudreau of East Hartford and we have two daughters, Addison and Stella. We are expecting a third child in October. We bought our first home on Oak Street in East Hartford.
Service to community has been the focus of my career. I have worked most of my professional career in higher education and I currently serve as the Director of Community Relations at Trinity College. In that capacity I serve as the college’s lead liaison to city and regional corporate, educational and civic partners. My work gives me a thorough understanding of the issues affecting our communities, which complements my past service on the Board of Education and Town Council. I held previous positions at the University of Connecticut, Riverfront Recapture and the Connecticut State Department of Higher Education. I serve on the Board of Directors of three affordable housing non-profit organizations in Hartford and work with both Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the United Way.
